“Nessun posto è bello come casa mia” dice Dorothy Gale ne Il mago di Oz.
Questo è il settore principe della tessitura così come viene generalmente pensata e ricordata e dove il tessitore si diverte a far andare liberamente la fantasia: arazzi, tappeti, coperte e accessori tavola. È anche il settore più “lento”: il lavoro del telaio è lungo e impegnativo, fa meditare e a volte ritornare sui propri passi. Ma va avanti. L associazione vuol far capire anche questo, cioè che il tempo del lavoro manuale é un tempo ormai dimenticato ma prezioso.

This is the main sector of weaving as it is generally thought of and remembered and where the weaver enjoys freeing the imagination: tapestries, rugs, blankets and table accessories. It is also the slowest sector: the work of the loom is long and demanding, it makes you meditate and sometimes retrace your steps. But go on. The association also wants to understand this, that is, the time of manual labor is a time now forgotten but precious.
