Richard Salley è un artista di gioielli, fotografo ed educatore. Ha iniziato a lavorare il metallo nel 1969 come assistente scultore e in seguito si è dedicato alla creazione di gioielli “found object” oltre a questo è anche un fotografo che ha cercato nel suo libro di valorizzare alcuni importanti artigiani di Firenze affinché la memoria del loro lavoro manuale non vada persa e per esportare il concetto dell’arte artigiana anche negli Stati Uniti

Richard Salley is a jewelry artist, photographer, and educator. He began working with metal in 1969 as a sculptor’s assistant and later dedicated himself to creating “found object” jewelry. He is also a photographer, and in his book he sought to highlight some of Florence’s important artisans, so that the memory of their handiwork is not lost and to export the concept of artisanal art to the United States.
