After 25 years as an architect, a few years ago I met the Sardinian loom, and I fell in love with it. Guided by my strong passion for craftsmanship, I started attending some textile workshops in Mugello (Tuscany) and I learned, step by step, to move the heddles and slide the spool, trying to understand the relationship between weft and warp and how to create an handmade fabric.
Over the years I have gone through various experimental way of weaving, but always with the aim of developing a style that used the richest textile tradition to create contemporary garments.
Starting from the use of traditional techniques of weaving on a 4-heddle loom, I was finally inspired by the regular lines of the Japanese tradition, bringing Europe closer to the East, and combining tradition with modernity, comfort with wearability.
